Sweden Songs is an independent music publishing company founded by Keith Almgren. He is celebrating his 30th anniversity in the Swedish music business 2009 (20 years as a publisher 2010). Sweden Songs primarily working with songplugging but also as A&R towards Record Companies. Sweden Songs also has his own labels mainily for digital release and promotion.
Sweden Songs represent a wide range and controls title from pop, rock, blues, hip hop, rockabilly, country music, singer/songwriter, contributions to the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden and Finland, Swedish Dansband music, arrangements of Birger Sjöberg´s "Lilla Paris", the signature melody to P3/P3 "Nattliv" by Tore Sigvardson and Janne Lunden, to children carols and music for classical TV program "Tårtan" and international music by collaborations with sub publishing companies
Sweden Songs was founded by Keith Almgren after 5 years at Scandinavian Songs. Keith started and owned the former KA Musikproduktion, which was sold to Scandinavian Songs and currently owned by BMG Rights Management (Scandinavia) AB. Keith Almgren has an extensive background in the music industry as amusic publisher and former songwriter, lyricist to over1400 titles, which he wrote. Keith Almgrenis one of the Swedish songwriters who has most songs in the register of STIM.
Keith has previously worked at STIM/ ncb, record companies(Sonet), music publishing company (Scandinavian Songs), distribution company, at a record store, as a manager and he has also been a music writer andradio host. Keith has also worked at Fryshusets music activitiesand as a teacher and at RockMusikLinjen (Birkagårdens Folkhögskola) (School) as teacher in Bransch Knowledge
Keith Almgren has participated many times with several songs in The Swedish Eurovision Melodifestivalen as music publishers and songwriter. Keith wrote the lyrics to "ABC" to Anna Book in 1986 and "Jag har en dröm"with Baden Baden.1999 he participated as a publisher (Scandinavian Songs) to the song "Tusen och en natt" and won the Eurovision Song Contestas a publisher to Charlotte Nilsson (winner of Eurovisionin Jerusalem) and Roger Pontare. 2000 attended Keith again as music publishers in the Swedish Eurovision Song (Javiera and Pontare) and won for the second year and participated with the Swedish delegation at Eurovision Song Contest in the Globe Arena in Stockholm. Keith has also participated in the contest as a publisher in 1992, 2002 and 2010 and as a publisher(Sweden Songs) and he and Sweden Songs has the rights for a song in the Finnish Eurovision Song Contest 2004, and also to two contributions in the Finnish Eurovision Song Contest (Eurovision) in 2002. Sweden Songshave also split - publishing rights with Sue Songs, Razzia Music, Maple Music to "Show me heaven" which was in The Swedish Eurovision Melodifestivalen 2009, and with a song in theFinnish Eurovision Song Contest (Sue Songs/ RazziaMusic) in 2002 and the disqualified song Åt helvete för sent (Susie Päivärinta, Sue Songs(co-write with Mårten and Lina Eriksson (EMI MusicPubl) by Sara Löfgrenin Melodifestivalen 2010. Sweden Songs also have the rights for a song in the Swedish Eurovision Melodifestivalen2010 with Highlights & MiSt and has publishing rights to a song in the Finnish Eurovision (Euroviisut) Opening Selection 2011
